Using EYELIVIO

What is EYELIVIO?

EYELIVIO is a nighttime eye care routine. The Complete Dry Eye Care Pack pairs a Self-Warming Eye Mask, which gives closed eyelids gentle, soothing warmth, with our Nighttime Lubricant Eye Ointment, an OTC lubricant that may be used as temporary relief of burning, irritation and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.

How do I use the mask and ointment together?

Open the mask pouch so it starts warming. While it warms, apply a small amount (about ¼ inch) of ointment inside the lower eyelid, as directed on the label. Then place the mask over your closed eyes for about 10–15 minutes. See How to Use.

Do I need a microwave?

No. The mask warms on its own about 30 seconds after you open the pouch. Do not microwave or reheat it.

Can I use EYELIVIO every night?

The routine is designed for adults to use at bedtime. Always follow the label directions, and stop use and ask a doctor if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, or continued redness or irritation.

Can I use EYELIVIO if I wear contact lenses?

Remove your contact lenses before using the ointment or the mask. Use EYELIVIO at bedtime, and put your lenses back in the next day.

Is the ointment preservative-free?

Yes. The ointment is preservative-free and sterile. Active ingredients: mineral oil 20% and white petrolatum 78%. Inactive ingredients: aloe vera, arnica montana, calendula officinalis. If you have known sensitivities, check the ingredients or ask your eye care provider first.

How is the ointment different from eye drops?

Eye drops are thin and wear off quickly. The ointment is thicker, so it stays longer, which is why it is used at night.

When will I notice a difference?

Experiences vary from person to person. Use the routine consistently. If symptoms persist for more than 72 hours, stop use and ask a doctor.

What is dry eye?

Dry eye happens when your eyes don't make enough tears, or when tears evaporate too quickly. It can feel like burning, grittiness, tired eyes or fluctuating vision, and it often gets worse with screens, dry air or at night. Read more in About Dry Eye.

When should I see a doctor?

See an optometrist or ophthalmologist if discomfort persists, your vision changes, or over-the-counter products are not enough.

Can I return a product?

Unopened, undamaged products can be returned within 30 days for a refund. For hygiene reasons we can't accept opened boxes.
